My Indiana Home/ My "shabby" sofa

One of the advantages of being in the antique business (or disadvantages from my husband's point of view) is that we get to see a lot of vintage furniture. I fell in love with this old '70's vintage sofa at Leaping Leopard Antique Mall. It seemed to fit my living room so well and I love the curves and wrap around arms. It reminds me of the style of sofa my grandmother would have had. The brocade is a little worn, but the color's right - and being pet lovers, we don't need anything too "mint" anyway.

And you can lay down on it without your feet going over the edge - a definite plus for us tall people!

I still haven't decided what to display on the wall. It could be a large painting or grouping, but the previous lady of the house had a tastefully, perfectly placed horizontal arrangement of plates along a related theme. I really liked that. It was something simple, light and very directionally effective.
